Playing Free Online Spider Solitaire

Spider Solitaire is a fun card game that will test your skills and problem-solving abilities! Don’t know how to play Spider Solitaire? It’s actually pretty simple!

To complete the game, you must remove all cards from the table and sort them into the eight empty foundation slots at the top of the screen. To fill a foundation slot, you must make a ‘run’ – a sequence of cards of the same suit in descending order (King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Ace). To make this free Spider Solitaire game harder, play with four or two suits – the more suits there are, the harder the game becomes.

Spider Solitaire History

Solitaire card games have origins in the 1800s, but Spider Solitaire is a rather recent invention. The fun card game is a variant of Klondike Solitaire, and was created in 1949. Spider Solitaire put a fun twist on the traditional game, using two decks instead of 1. It is called ‘Spider’ Solitaire because spiders have eight legs, just as the card game has eight discard piles. It has become very popular over the years, and is now one of the best-known variants of Classic Solitaire, available around the globe!
